Abstract: The article presents the analysis of the verbs of directed movement of two semantic fields “moving away from the orientator†and “drawing near the orientator†in English and Lezghin languages. The comparative analysis of the mentioned verbs brought to light isomorphous and allomorphous signs in structural organization as well as in lexical meaning of the units under research. Isomorphism is displayed by the fact that in both languages, English and Lezghin, the semantics of directed movement is given to the verbs by lexico-morphological means genetically ascending to the adverbs of place and direction. Conclusions: Allomorphism is manifested by the fact that these means occupy different positions in the structure of the verbal lexem: in English they are placed in postposition, while in Lezghin they are in pre-position; in English they are written separately, thus forming phrasal verbs, in Lezghin they are written together forming derivative verbs.Â
