Abstract: Â The aim. The discovery of a connection in the depiction of the heroines of Leskov's stories with a folklore tradition.Methods. Analytical, comparative, comparative-comparative.Results. Considered and revealed similar motives and techniques in depicting heroines.Conclusions. Heroines correspond to certain types of folklore girls, the author builds on folklore traditions when describing heroines, uses folk images, symbols of motives.Â
