TV TALK-SHOW PRESENTER’S SPEECH STRATEGIES (BASING ON “LET'S GET MARRIED†TV SHOW)

Abstract:  The aim of the study is studying some aspects of the reconstruction of the speech portrait of the linguistic identity of the TV talk show presenter. Method. In particular, the authors analyze the linguistic development of speech genres, actualized in the framework of the show: the sentence of compliment, praise. The article analyzes phraseological units and lexemes that signal the qualities of the TV presenter’s language personality, such as the desire to exert emotional pressure on the audience in order to create and maintain a corresponding genre of psychological microclimate.Results. The genres of the sentence, praise and compliments are considered in work as a result of the pragmatic actions of the broadcaster for the implementation of strategies of identification and self-identification.Conclusions. The praise formulas are represented as a reflection of the speaker's intertextual intentions.Â
