Abstract: The aim of the paper is considering the features of the content organization of the written English scientific medical works of various genres in the diachronic aspect.Results. The compositional and structural features of the English written medical scientific text have undergone significant changes over the long period of its formation and development.Conclusions. The specificity of the English written scientific text on medicine and its content organization is due to both linguistic and extra-linguistic factors.Â
