Abstract: Aim. The article deals with identifying and studying the wedding ceremonies in the “Fate†short novel by A. Gadzhiibragimov, the Tabasaran writer.Methods. Historical and typological, comparative and historical.Results. The author considers the originality of the wedding ceremonies description in a fiction.Conclusions. The analysis of the short novel shows the matchmaking attracts the author’s attention more than other wedding rituals.
