Abstract: The aim of this article is to identify and study sound correspondences of the words of the Akusha dialect, the Darghin literary language and the Kadar idiom.Methods. The method of comparative analysis and the descriptive method are used to determine and study the existing sound correspondences. As the result of the research, all the regular and sporadic sound correspondences of the compared linguistic units are revealed, both in the vocal and consonant systems. Based on the obtained results, it is concluded that the dialects, spread in the center of the Darghin linguistic area are developing and changing more rapidly than idioms located on the periphery. It is established that the ancient features of the language remain not only in the southern archaic idioms, but also in northern dialects, including the Kadar one.
