Phraseological Units in Bilingual Children’s Speech

Abstract:
Aim. The article deals with phraseological units in bilingual speech in order to identify the ability to use phraseological units in written speech, knowledge of phraseological units in contacting languages by bilingual children.Methods. The methodological basis of the research is the principles of comparative, semantic and translation analysis, which allows to reveal the understanding of the meanings of phraseological units by bilingual children.Results. The author considers some features of phraseological units functioning in the written speech of bilingual children, and give some observations for the bilingual speech at the age of 9-10 years in the conditions of Russian-Adyghe bilingualism, allowing to reveal the bilingual skills to use the phraseological units in contacting languages.Conclusions. The results of the study show the relevance of issues related to bilingualism. The reference to phraseological units once again emphasizes that any language both enriches another language and is enriched itself at the expense of another language. Phraseological units contribute to the development of speech, bilingualism contributes to the rapprochement of one people with another and the elimination of the language divide between them.
