Abstract: The aim is analyzing the issues of the Islamic philosophy development in the regions of the Russian Empire at the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th one, related to the influence of external factors, tracing the attitude of the state towards this process.Methods: the method of historicism, comparative analysis, description.Results. The development of the Islamic reformist philosophy in the Russian Empire at the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th one was a complex and ambiguous phenomenon, determined by external and internal factors. In the Volga region, the Crimea and in the territory of Dagestan this process had a number of general tendencies and local specifics.Conclusions. Islamic reformism in the sociopolitical, spiritual and educational spheres remained relevant until the Soviet power establishment and affected many aspects of the Muslims’ life in Russia.
