Chinese Borrowings in the Language of Russian Harbin

Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyze borrowings from the Chinese language in the language of Russian abroad of the XX century, in the language of Russian Harbin.During the research methods of observation, semantic analysis, descriptive method were used.The material for the study was the trilogy of E. M. Antashkevich "Harbin".Results. The article reveals the reasons for borrowing and identifies lexical-thematic groups of borrowed words. The basic semantic meanings of the examples are considered, such groups of vocabulary as toponyms, anthroponyms, names of persons, names of natural objects, objects of household sphere, etc. are analyzed.Conclusions. The analysis of the material makes it possible to trace the adaptation processes in Russian of the most popular Chinese borrowings.
