Abstract:
The aim of the article is studying the phenomenon of Russian space, which has repeatedly been the object of the study of philosophy, journalism, literature, implicitly asking another popular motif of Russian literature, the way.Methods. Comparative historical, typological.Results. The motifs of the path and space surprisingly well converged in the form of a locomotive, denoting a new one, the movement in time, since the appearance of the railway communication for Russia marked the entry into a new industrial era, with all its positive and negative incarnations.Conclusions. “The cast-iron road†as a chthonic space and crisis experiences associated with it is one of the most promising images of Russian literature of the 19th century in terms of research.
