Abstract: We analyze economic development in Philippines for the period 1990-2006, with special focus on inter-sectoral relationships and the role of foreign trade. We analyze the evolution of real value added of Agriculture, Manufacturing, Industry and Services, and we present an econometric model which shows the important and positive impact of manufacturing and foreign trade on economic development.
