Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to analyse the relationship between private and public investment in Bolivia. The effect of the governmental investment over private investment and economic growth is studied, testing rival theories that can explain the crowding in and the crowding out effects. The public expenditure in investment, targeted towards social sectors and basic infrastructure, which is complementary with private investment in Bolivia, has a crowding in effect and stimulates the Bolivian economic growth.
