Abstract: This study aims to examine the effects of short distance swimming training on 50 meters freestyle swimming and 30 meters sprint in male swimmers aged 12-14 years. The study group consisted of N=20 boys, 10 in the experimental group and 10 in the control group, who went to a Special Sports Club. The stopwatch was used as a data collection tool. He took the 30-meter run and the 50-meter free technical sprint as the pre-test results. Before the training, the height and weight of the two groups were measured. While the experimental group performed an average of 90 minutes of swimming sprint training every other day, 3 days a week for 8 weeks, the control group only did basic swimming training. After the 8-week training program, the test was applied again. After uploading the obtained data to Microsoft Excel program, it was transferred to SPSS 18.0 program to calculate mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum scores. Finally, the scores of the experimental group and the control group were compared with the Mann Whitney U test, and the before and after scores were compared with the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test.
