Finance Research Letters, 2024, vol. 65, issue C

Abstract: This study analyses the link between cross-border e-commerce, trade digitisation and enterprise export resilience, and finds that the progression of cross-border e-commerce can improve enterprise export resilience. In contrast, trade digitisation plays an important mediating role, and the robustness test and endogeneity analysis similarly support the above findings. This study also conducted a heterogeneity analysis, the results show that the degree of cross-border e-commerce development of firms in the eastern region has a more significant influence on enterprise export resilience than those in the central and western region.
