Abstract:
This paper analyzes the impact of the public health initiative "Healthy China Initiative"(HCI) on sportswear brands based on data from listed sportswear companies in China. The results indicate that the initiative enhances the performance of listed sportswear firms. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that its positive effects are mainly observed firms in the eastern, western, and northeastern regions. This study enriches the literature in the field and expands the research perspective by integrating macro- and micro-level analyses, and therefore offers insights for enhancing operational efficiency of China's sportswear market.
