Abstract:
This paper examines the moderating effect of bank fintech on the relationship between ESG performance and active risk-taking for 42 A-share listed commercial banks in China. It is found that bank fintech can effectively moderate the positive relationship between ESG performance and active risk-taking of banks to prevent excessive risk-taking. It suggests that banks should pursue the integration of fintech applications and ESG practices to enhance their risk management ability.
