Abstract:
This study examines how different private placement targets affect enterprises’ long-term performance based on the A-share listed companies between 2012 and 2022. Findings show that private listing by companies exclusively for institutional investors positively influences the company's long-term business performance. After participating in private placements, institutional investors play a more positive and prominent role within the enterprise. By exercising oversight, they improve corporate information disclosure, thus affecting the enterprise's long-term performance.
