Abstract:
In the context of increasing resource constraints and environmental pollution, the promotion of green agricultural practices has become crucial for achieving long-term agricultural sustainability. This study analyzes the role of agricultural insurance in facilitating the adoption of green production behaviors among farm households in China, using data collected from Jiangsu Province between 2020 and 2022. The findings suggest that agricultural insurance positively influences farmers' green production behaviors, especially in large-scale farming operations. Furthermore, legal trust plays an important role in enhancing the effectiveness of agricultural insurance. The study also highlights the mediating effect of agricultural income.
