Finance Research Letters, 2025, vol. 81, issue C
Abstract:
This study investigates the link between digital transformation and productivity using Chinese firm data (2010–2022). Econometric modeling reveals that digital economic development significantly boosts enterprise productivity, with platform ecosystem integration as a key mediating factor. The analysis shows that non-state enterprises and cleaner industries benefit more from digitalization. The findings illustrate how firms leverage platform ecosystems, offering theoretical insights and practical guidance for executives and policymakers on the relationship between digital transformation, platform integration, and organizational performance.
