Abstract:
The study investigates the impact of managerial climate attention on enterprise digital transformation. Specifically, we analyze a sample of China’s Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2022, and identify an important positive effect from managerial climate attention to digital transformation. Showing when managers concern climate changes, it would promote digital transformation. Additionally, our analysis indicates that financing constraints and industries of heavy pollution would weaken the relationship between them. Moreover, the results are still valid after a series of robustness tests. Our study provides insights for enterprise climate risk management and digital transformation policy making in China.
