Abstract:
•This study investigates the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the mining industry of the Global South economies.•Discusses the importance of implementing sustainable CSR efforts in order to attain the Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production), and SDG 13 (climate action).•Employs a review methodology to examine 222 Web of Science (WoS) research publications for the subject of CSR and the mining industry.•Outlines a conceptual framework for analyzing how CSR initiatives affect societal well-being, environmental sustainability, and individual stakeholders.
