Abstract:
The article examines recent cases on laytime and demurrage. Notice of Readiness cases are analysed under the following headings: arrival, actual readiness, contractual preconditions, waiver/estoppel and miscellaneous. Issues arising from discharge operations, exception clauses and presentation of documents claims are then described.
