Social Science & Medicine, 2024, vol. 340, issue C

Abstract: There is limited research examining motivators of e-cigarette use among never smokers, a group for whom vaping has no benefits and many harms. To inform programs and policies that aim to prevent initiation and encourage cessation of e-cigarette use, this study investigated reasons for intended use, initiation, and continued use of e-cigarettes among various age and user groups in Australia.
