Almost sure convergence of the waiting time for a G/G/1 queue in heavy traffic

Ye Xia

Statistics & Probability Letters, 2025, vol. 219, issue C

Abstract: Consider a G/G/1 queueing model with traffic intensity ρ=1. Let Wn be the waiting time in the queue for customer n. We provide a class of sufficient conditions for almost sure convergence of Wn/nα to 0, where α>1/2.
