Some bounds for balanced two-way elimination of heterogeneity designs

Idzi Siatkowski

Statistics & Probability Letters, 1994, vol. 21, issue 2, 95-99

Abstract: Bounds for the non-zero eigenvalue of the C-matrix of efficiency-balanced and variance-balanced two-way elimination of heterogeneity designs are derived. The upper bounds are obtained for the class of all designs whose C-matrices admit a representation in the form C = [xi]1C1 + [xi]2C2 - [xi]0C0, whereas the lower bounds are obtained for a subclass of the designs.
