Abstract:
This paper studies the almost sure convergence of U-statistics which depend on a parameter. We give a set of sufficient conditions for uniform convergence, in the parameter, with probability one. An example of selecting a transformation to near symmetry illustrates how the result may be applied to statistical problems.
