The impact of urban arterial cross section on abutting property values and rents: The case of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Abstract: There are claims that service roads (frontage roads) reduce the rent and value of adjacent commercial properties. Using Riyadh, the Capital of Saudi Arabia, as a case study, this research has found no statistically significant relationship between the presence of service roads and land values and shop rents.
