Abstract:
The value of patent information in the transfer of technology to developing countries and its relevance in R&D is assessed by the provision of patent and non-patent documents to R&D projects. The documents were then evaluated by researchers on the basis of: relevance, novelty, extent of disclosure and on ease of adaption of the technologies disclosed. Tabular and statistical data of the evaluation is given.
