The story of the Chinese 'search files'

Abstract: The building up of the search files in the Chinese Patent Office is described. The effort of combining foreign assistance and self-effort is rewarding. The 'mixed-type search files' system established in a rather short period has been proved by the Chinese patent examiners to be encouragingly practicable.
