State-of-the-art searches at ARIPO documentation and information centre

Abstract: The services supplied by ARIPO (African Regional Industrial Property Organization) are described. These include technology support services to research and development institutions, industry, commercial farmers and organizations responsible for investment promotion in the member African states. State-of-the-art searches are performed to assist selection of appropriate industrial ventures and patent information is disseminated to specific industries. An analysis is made of the searches performed for ARIPO by other offices under the WIPO program for free patent searches.
