Abstract:
The authors review the present situation with regard to the supply of patent information and discuss possible changes that may occur as more data are made available online or on CD-ROM by the patent offices. Cooperation between the three main patent offices will give rise to new databases which could bring great benefits to larger companies whilst making it more difficult for the present commercial patent database producers to survive.
