Abstract:
The office of the Czech Republic, formerly part of the Federal Office of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, is now independent and is building up its documentation and resources to provide comprehensive services to business and the public. Its paper documentation is being complemented by CD-ROMs in view of storage space problems and the office and library are being modernized with the aid of the EPO. In addition to the usual services in the public study room, patent searches for novelty and state-of-the-art are offered as well as selective dissemination of information services.
