CD-ROMs for publication of patents: A critical review

Abstract: The disadvantages of CD-ROMs for use by small firms and patent agents are discussed. These include cost of the hardware, unsuitability of the information provided on many CD-ROMs, total cost of printing specifications from the disks, and incompatibility of the various CD-ROM products.
