"Patentless" center for Patent Information retrieval at ARIPO
Ferdinand De Laet
World Patent Information, 2006, vol. 28, issue 3, 212-214
Abstract:
In the context of the development of worldwide online access to patent databases, as the successor to vast paper or CD-ROM collections, the author describes the significance of this "patentless" center environment for ARIPO and its member states. Improved availability of Patent Information regionally and nationally, and in more localized areas through simple systems using a local technician to provide online Internet access, or via Internet café outlets, is discussed. Linked with this are training schemes for the center organized through the ARIPO Academy.
