The sectoral approach of the Belgian patents units

Abstract:
Three of the eight Belgian PATLIB centres are patents units specialized in one specific industrial sector, operating within sectoral collective research centres. The added value of this approach is an efficient follow-up of all aspects of the innovation process within a specific sector.
