World Patent Information, 1986, vol. 8, issue 3, 182-184
Abstract:
The article outlines the ways in which users of the U.K. Patent Office will be affected by the current computerisation project. Three areas are highlighted. First, the provision of the Patents Register online and the ways in which the Register information can be accessed. Second, the provision of classification information and its use for search purposes, including intersect searching with Register information. Third, the various uses to which the computer will be put in administering the Patents system, with particular emphasis on document receipting, caveats, monitoring, and publications.
