Mechanisms of tariff regulation and tax exemptions as a factor of international integration
I. Fomin
Economy and Forecasting, 2002, issue 3, 26-38
Abstract:
The author considers the possibilities to improve the mechanisms of tariff regulation and tax exemptions with the aim to ensure Ukraine's efficient integration in the world economy. He presents proposals on increased transparency of the tariff regulation system, its correspondence to the GATT/WTO norms, its ability to properly react to changes in the foreign conjuncture, as well as to avoid negative consequences related to Ukraine's entry to the WTO. The article proposes methods to ensure Ukraine's strict compliance of its commitments on tariff and tax issues and correspondence of the practice of reduced taxation to the national legislation.
