Preconditions for transformation and regulation mechanisms of regional economies

Abstract: Solution of strategic tasks of creation of a socially oriented innovation and investment oriented model of economic development in Ukraine, which would create a basis for satisfaction of people's material and spiritual needs, higher well-being and quality of life, greatly depends on the scope and character of transformation processes in regional socio-economic systems. The author establishes the preconditions for regional economic reforms, elaboration of organizational and economic mechanism to regulate the comprehensive character of regional development calling for introduction of such a complexity of means and levers of influence, which would ensure the region's sustainable development, and formation of an efficient, high-tech and resource-saving regional economic complex.
