Economic theory and economic policy in a transition society

Abstract:
The article deals with the main directions of economic theory, which are used in the transformation of post-socialist countries. The author provides a detailed analysis of the concepts on which the above mentioned directions are based. The article justifies the necessity of a shift over a new paradigm of socio-economic relations and outlines the role of policy in this process.
