Foresight as a modern methodology of technological forecasting (part one)

Abstract: The author reveals the essence of the foresight methodology and justifies its role in the formation of technological policy and strategy of socio-economic development. She carries out a comparative assessment of various methods of foresight investigations and peculiarities of the use of national foresight programs. Based on the obtained generalized result, the author formulates conclusions as to the possibilities of the use of Foresight for Ukraine.
