Symposium Introduction: Trailblazers Too Lightly Mentioned?
Daniel Klein
Econ Journal Watch, 2007, vol. 4, issue 2, 168
Abstract:
In this issue, in lieu of the Comments section, the journal features the symposium: Trailblazers Too Lighty Mentioned? The symposium consists of three articles, but others might extend the symposium in an upcoming issue. The articles speak of eminent economists advancing lines of thinking without due recognition of classical-liberal trailblazers. The pattern suggests a syndrome, which would raise the question, Why such a syndrome? The three articles criticize a number of authors for neglecting the trailblazers. As is the policy at this journal, the commented-on authors have been invited to reply. They have declined as yet, but the invitation remains open.
