Assessing the Impacts of an Enhanced Vocational Training Systems in the Sudan: A Dynamic CGE Application

Abstract: - To quantify the impacts of various options for expanding the public education expenditure in Sudan - A recursive dynamic CGE modelling framework Generally, expanding the government expenditure on general education and vocational training system has positive influences on the Sudanese economy. In short run, the enrollment and participation rates for various schooling systems is improved. Therefore, the supply of labour factor is declined, causing a reduction in the GDP. In the medium to long run, the supply of qualified labour claimed dramatically, which generates higher GDP growth rates.
