Abstract: O presente trabalho objetivou investigar a ação do Pronaf em um âmbito territorial e verificar a existência de impactos sócio-econômicos dessa política nas economias dos municípios do território do Médio Jequitinhonha. Assim, este trabalho visou avaliar a incidência territorial de uma política pública, neste caso o Pronaf, em termos de seus impactos em economias fortemente caracterizadas por atividades rurais e com um grande contingente de agricultores familiares. Por meio do instrumental estatístico de Dados em Painel, analisaram-se os impactos dos créditos do Pronaf nas principais variáveis econômicas dos municípios do território. Os resultados alcançados indicam que o Pronaf vem contribuindo para o desenvolvimento das economias locais, em especial naqueles municípios com grande demanda por estes créditos, que servem como fonte de liquidez para a movimentação de suas atividades econômicas. ABSTRACT This study aimed to investigate the action of Pronaf on a territorial scope and verify the existence of social and economic impacts of this policy in the economies of cities in the Médio Jequitinhonha territory. This study searched to assess the territorial incidence of public policy in this case Pronaf in terms of their impacts on economies strongly characterized by rural activities and a large contingent of family farmers. Through instrumental Statistical Data Panel, we analyzed the impact of Pronaf in key economic variables of cities of the territory. The results indicate that Pronaf has contributed to the development of local economies, especially those cities with high demand for these credits, which serve as a source of liquidity for the handling of its economic activities.
