Abstract:
Traditionally, Geography has been considered a subiect placed at the crossroads between Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. This fact has created some problems but, at the same time, has allowed geographers to become involved in diverse questions, as Societys interest in these has grown. The authors describe the contributions which the different branches of Geography make in studies on the Environment and Territorial Planning, with special reference to the physical characteristics of the Basque Country and to the sources of bibliographical and cartographical information on these.
