La papelera española y su grupo de empresas

La papelera Española

EKONOMIAZ. Revista vasca de Economía, 1990, vol. 18, issue 03, 112-123

Abstract: Within the European context of growing demand and deficitary production capacity, the Spanish paper sector must implement an ambitious programme of work which will allow it to compete on a market accessible to it. From its position of leadership within the newsprint sector, LA PAPELERA ESPAÑOLA has been very sensitive to this situation. lts strategic programme, in which it has invested 14,000 million pesetas, has two, well-defined aspects. On the one hand, the modernisation of its installations, in order to offer high-quality products; on the other, the readjustment of investments in search of products with a higher added value. With the collaboration of the Boston Consulting Group Limited, LA PAPELERA ESPAÑOLA has reorganised its business units, both in upstream companies and in those relating to transformation and marketing. The perfomance of the sector during the last months confirms that this decision has been the right one.
