Abstract:
In this paper a model is constructed to study a couple of questions. First are analized the effects of a legal measure that established long-run contracts as obligatory. The second question is: what would happen in that situation if short-run contracts were allowed? The modelo concludes that if this flexibllizing measure is introduced in the expansive phase of the cycle, unemployment would be reduced; if short-run contracts are introduced during recession, and reductions in wages are not allowed, unemployment would increase.
