Abstract:
This paper is about the current situation, problems and challenges in social economy corporations within the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country and Navarre. The object of this analysis is not Social Economy in its wider sense -it is a study of Sociedades Anónimas Laborales (Workers Incorporated) and Associated Labour Cooperatives, one of the most important of which is the Mondragón Cooperative Corporation, with a turnover which exceeds half a billion pesetas and a workforce of 26,000.
