Abstract:
Although offshore outsourcing has been politicized in the United Status since the 1970s, the government has not adopted measures to prevent it. The reason is the positive net inflows of capital into the US economy generated by the foreign direct investments (FDI) of multinational enterprises (MNEs) from the United States overseas and those coming from the FDIs of foreign MNEs in the United States. This results from the competitiveness of US firms vis-à-vis other firms, in the United States and abroad.
