Abstract: Infrastructures supply and management are more and more being performed by collaboration mechanisms between the private and the public sector. They are referred to as ‘public-private partnerships’ and are driven by Civil Service programmes from countries like the United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal or Australia. And recently Spain and even the EU. The present paper takes stock of the results obtained from the evaluation studies carried out in the different countries, in order to draw useful lessons suitable for our environment.
