Abstract:
This article carries out a diagnostic of two particular experiences that affect the model of territorial governance of the Basque country in light of the social innovation paradigm to deduce a series of critical reflections about its development. We study the path of the Basque innovation agency (Innobasque) that, although it isn’t very extensive, it deserves the attention for its magnitude of the project and the ability of social mobilization until the moment has developed. We also analyse the framework of the associative and collaboration networks generated around the regional development agencies. The approximation from the social innovation allows us to evaluate these experiences in a critical way and extract particular lessons for each network and also in relation to the multilevel organization with the aim of advancing towards a socially innovating development project.
